Grover presented with “Outstanding Supporter Award”.

WOBURN, MA — Nov. 30, 2009 — Grover Pro Percussion Inc., Massachusetts based leaders in concert percussion products, announces that President and Founder Neil Grover has been awarded the Percussive Arts Society’s “Outstanding Supporter Award”. 

The Outstanding Supporter Award was established to recognize an individual each year who has significantly promoted the Society through their professional and educational activities to increase visibility and awareness of the Society. 

Neil Grover commented, “I am deeply touched by the presentation of this award from my colleagues at the Percussive Arts Society.   I’m proud to say that I have been a member of  PAS for over 30 years.  During this time, I have always appreciated and treasured my involvement in the PAS organization.”

Grover continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the Percussive Arts Society, a post he has held for 12 years.

Simone graduated with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music in 1991 to embark on a solo career that has seen her recording 3 solo albums, touring extensively nationally and internationally, appearing on UK and international television and radio and winning a collection of awards and prizes including the Cosmopolitan Woman of the Year in Performing Arts. She is a founder member of the highly successful BackBeat Percussion Quartet who frequently tour and record internationally and have won a number of chamber music competitions in the USA, UK and Japan. She also works with Equivox (percussion, saxes and piano) and as a solo recitalist with Julian Wilkins. In 2006 Simone will be recording 2 new albums, giving the world premieres of 3 new concerti and embarking on solo tours in Europe, USA and Australia.

Jason Poulston

Jason Poulston is currently Principal Percussionist of the World Famous Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, Jason studied with Chris Bradley at the Univeristy of Huddersfield and is now Head of Music at Vermuyden School in East Yorkshire.
